We Shopped Until We Dropped!

WOW!!!
What a fantastic time we had shopping in our grocery store this past Friday! It was a fantastic way to wrap up our study on money! Please look for a slideshow to come shortly.  A great big thank you to all of you that helped stock our store.  Mrs. Hildebrand came and organized our store for us and she had quite the job because we had SO MUCH STUFF! I am convinced that the Smith family has a pantry the size of my bedroom at their house.  :)  I can't thank you enough for everything you took the time to send in.  I can promise you that it was all appreciated by some pretty awesome 2nd graders.
Your child brought home their money on Friday, just in case they accidentally forgot to tell you.  :)

We will be celebrating Read Across America Week February 27-March 2nd this year.  I wanted to go ahead and give you a heads up because we will have a character parade that Friday.  Your child will dress up as a character from a book on that day.  I wanted to let you know now so you could go ahead and start brainstorming ideas with your child.  You will receive more detailed information about that week soon.

OUR VALENTINE'S PARTY IS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH FROM 1:30 - 2:15.  Pleaes make sure your child has a Valentine for each child in the class if they are participating.  The kids are so excited about this fun day!

On the front of the Aviator News that came home Friday there are two yellow coupon cut outs to send in to RSVP for Muffins for Mom and Doughnuts for Dads.  Please send these in if you plan to attend so the PTA will know how many people to be prepared for.
Please email me with any questions or concerns.  Have a Super Week!
