Read Across America Week!

If you would like to come and read to our class this Wednesday please email me. I am very flexible with the time on that day.

Tuesday: Please send a beach towel with your child. We will be doing our D.E.A.R. time outside if the weather permits. Also, we will keep the beach towels at school until Friday just in case we decide to go outside to read again in honor of Read Across America Week.

Wedesday: Volunteers will come and read.  Please turn in the homework that came home last week about your character for the parade, along with your sign that you will be carrying in the parade. The sign needs to have the book title and character on it. I have found that attaching it with ribbon or yarn works very well around their necks.

Thursday: SILLY HAT DAY: wear a silly hat in honor of Dr. Seuss.

Friday: Character Parade at 9:30. Plese make sure your child comes to school dressed in a character from a book. Everybody participates in the parade. If you would like to watch the parade, please go to the lunchroom.

Book orders are due this Wednesday.  You may send your order in with a check to Scholastic or you  may order online with our class code K2YLD.

We are in great need of Anti-bacterial wipes for our classroom.

The money is due for class pictures this Friday if you haven't purchased one and would like to.

A great big thank you to Jay's mom for making us chocolate worms and "dirt" Friday.  We had TOO MUCH FUN with it! Thank you!!!

In Math this week we will be doing a complete review of what we are already learning with our Calendar Math.  We will be ready to test this Friday on this chapter.  This chapter will be a breeze for your child.

The President Reports were EXCELLENT! We have learned so much about past Presidents this month.  We have been making some excellent connections with our Presidents.  I hope you have enjoyed some conversations about them at home as well.

Please email me with any questions or concerns.  Thanks for all you do!!
