Book Orders are Due Tuesday!

Remember that you can use the code that I sent home to order on the web site, or you can still send in the order form like we have done in the past. Just make sure you send in a check to Scholastic if you send in an order form. I can't mail them cash. The cut off will be Tuesday.

* If you haven't sent in your child's money for our money unit, please send it in Tuesday. This is when we will begin learning about Money.

* Field Trip forms and money are due January 20th.

* Continue to save and send in items for our store that will be opening once we are finished learning about money.

* We are in need of Crisco Oil for a little Science experiment this week. If you have some at home you can send that would be great. We don't need an entire can so if you already have an opened can you would like to share, that would be great.

STATE PROJECTS AND REPORT SHEETS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18TH.  Please have your child practice at home so that they are familiar with what they are teaching us about their state.

*Your child copied down their spelling words for this week.  Both copies have been broken this week so I was unable to copy their new list.  I will get it to them as soon as the copier is working.  Also remember that they will be on our schoolnotes homework page as well.

*Please remind your child to bring both of their library books to school daily.  They love to read the books in our classroom, but they aren't all AR testable.  We need to get a little more focused on our AR.  I have told the kids that we should all be in the 25 point club by the end of this month.  Keep in mind that their comprehension should also stay at 90 percent or above.  I hope you signed up at the beginning of the year to receive emails when your child takes a test on a book.  I will make sure your child has time to read and take test, but I need them to bring their books daily.  We have a classroom FULL of beautiful readers, and I want this to be reflected in AR as well.

Please continue to practice with money as we begin learning about it in Math.

Please email me with any questions or concerns.  Also, continue to check STI so you are up to date on your child's grades.  We are already getting ready to close our 2nd nine weeks.
